ECSA Training

ECSA offers training to new members. Classes are held periodically depending on demand. Training is scheduled on the ECSA Calendar page, so check back often to find when classes are scheduled.

For more information or to sign up for a class, send an email or call one of the ECSA Instructors found on the Contact Us page.

Certified Range Officer (CRO)

The Certified Range Officer (CRO) course is offered to new members. The course is conducted at the ECSA range and provides a thorough review and walkthrough of ECSA range rules and procedures. The course is typically completed in 1-1½ hours. Successful completion of this course designates the member as an ECSA CRO and authorizes the member full access to the ECSA range.

Range Safety Officer (RSO)

ECSA also offers nationally-recognized NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) certification to members at their own expense. Upon completion of the RSO course members are authorized to supervise ECSA and NRA santioned shoots and gain full access to the ECSA range.

Hunter Education

From the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife web site: "Hunter Education is mandatory for Oregon hunters under the age of 18 unless they are hunting on land owned by their parents or legal guardian or are participating in the Mentored Youth Hunter Program."
