New EDUCATION BUILDING PROJECT

Scheduled for completion by Spring 2025

We are very excited and looking forward to completion of this great addition to the shooting range! This new 40′ x 60′ building with 20′ covered concrete patios at each end will be a multi-purpose facility which will fulfill the needs of the Eagle Cap Shooters, local and state law enforcement, local fire/ems, Wallowa County Search & Rescue, and many others.  The new building with power, water, heat and cooling will function as a training facility for Hunter Education classes and other firearms safety training, a club house with catered food service, and as a storage facility for educational materials and range equipment & supplies.

Labor for this project has been generously donated by numerous individuals and companies, for which we are exceedingly grateful! An NRA Foundation grant provided $50,000.00 in funding for this project, which supplemented the $43,000.00 in funding provided by the Eagle Cap Shooters Educational Alliance.  At this point, there is there is an approximate $30,000.00 shortfall due to significant increases in materials costs since the building plan and budget were first drafted  Additional funds are needed to complete this project.

You can make a difference and become a part of this worthy venture by making a tax deductible donation to the Eagle Cap Shooters today.  Eagle Cap Shooters is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and tax deduction receipts will be provided for all donations.  You will be helping Wallowa County organizations, and the youth of Wallowa County.

In addition to the new education building, there are many other enhancements planned for the range including:  A new Trap & Skeet Range located off the north end of the new building; installation of permanent line power to the property by Pacific Power; replacing the main gate lock lock with an automated key card entry system; deployment of a security system with cameras system and a weather station; construction of a 25-yard indoor shooting range; re-shaping and improvement of the 600, 700, 800, 900 and 1,000-yards berms; deployment of target camera systems for the rifle range; constructing a moving  target range at the south end of the 100-yard berm; placement of overhead radiant heaters at the pistol and rifle ranges, and enclosing the pistol bay – all of which require money.
