ABOUT EAGLE CAP SHOOTERS
Eagle Cap Shooters is comprised of numerous shooting enthusiasts. The association promotes firearm safety and education. Members’ interest range from black powder cartridge, cowboy action, high power and small bore rifle, and pistol to trap and skeet, sporting clays, and air powered arms and archery. Our objective is to provide a safe place to enjoy these activities.
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide members, quests, public outreach, and other non-profit organizations with a safe and functional environment to pursue the educational, recreational, and competitive comradeship of all shooting venues.
PURPOSE
- To promote the safe use of all firearms and related equipment
- To provide a safe facility for our community and youth
- To encourage community involvement through membership opportunities
- To host competitive events and collaborate with other regional organizations in sporting or marksmanship contests
- To provide a safe facility for law enforcement to train and maintain certification
- To promote good citizenship and to conduct other lawful activities of a non-profit nature
GOALS
Eagle Cap Shooters’ long-term goal is to create a modern shooting sports complex which will provide a safe environment accommodating shotgun, sporting clays and skeet, sight-in and trail walking ranges, formal rifle and pistol competition, cowboy action competition, archery events, and black powder cartridge rifle events.
The Eagle Cap Shooters range facilities will include benches, covered firing line, ranges for small bore (rimfire) and pistol up to 50 yards, a big bore range out to 1000 yards, and venues for competition and practice. It is our goal to provide programs geared to youth training and competition, plus encourage women to participate in sport shooting.
As funding becomes available, an indoor range and clubhouse will be built to serve the members. The facility will provide meeting space for Association business and community activities. Our goal is to provide a safe, supervised environment to support, encourage, and train Association members and the public in the shooting sports.
